At Renaissance House, our well-trained staff is key to providing great service. We provide intensive initial training and continuous staff development to build competency and leadership in our direct care staff members.

Our initial training includes 24 hours of instruction covering client rights, emergency procedures, medication administration, client fund management, individual needs assessment and RH policies and procedures. Ongoing training covers a wide variety of topics that lead to success in caring for our clients, including personal future planning, relationship building, creating a home, behavior management, social role valorization and Program Analysis of Service Systems’ Implementation of Normalization Goals. (Don’t worry; we’ll explain what this really means in terms of working comfortably with our clients.)

Renaissance House is guided by Executive Director Robert “Bob” Weinhardt, who has more than 40 of experience in the field of supported living services. He is committed to being sure the entire staff – both those providing direct service and those in support roles – are constantly building skills and knowledge to provide high quality care. We strive to promote teamwork and good relationships between all levels of our workforce.
